Fire Department ISO Audit Software

A planned workspace for organizing the records behind an ISO review

This feature is in development and is not available in standard accounts.

What is Fire Department ISO Audit Software?

Preparing for an ISO Public Protection Classification review can involve records from several teams. Fire department training and apparatus records, emergency communications information, water supply data, and community risk reduction materials may all need attention. Gathering them at the last minute can leave gaps that are difficult to resolve.

Station Boss is developing an ISO Audit workspace to help departments organize preparation tasks, supporting documents, and section progress. The planned workflow brings evidence collection into one place so chiefs and officers can identify what is ready and what still needs follow up.

The ISO Audit module is currently in development and is not available in standard accounts. Station Boss does not issue official ISO scores. The planned readiness view is an internal preparation aid; Verisk determines the official Public Protection Classification through its own review process.

For official Public Protection Classification information, see Verisk Public Protection Classification.

Key Capabilities

Survey Preparation Tasks

The planned workspace organizes preparation items by fire department, emergency communications, water supply, and community risk reduction topic.

Evidence Collection

The planned workflow links supporting records and files to preparation tasks so reviewers can see what has been gathered.

Section Progress

A planned readiness view shows task and evidence completion by section. It is an internal estimate, not an official PPC rating.

Connected Department Records

The design draws on training, incident, apparatus, hydrant, and other department records already managed in Station Boss.

Benefits

  • ✓

    A Clear Preparation List

See which survey preparation items have documentation and which still need an owner or a record.

  • ✓

    Less Manual Gathering

Keep review tasks close to the department records that support them instead of maintaining a separate paper list.

  • ✓

    Honest Readiness Context

Use internal progress to plan the work while keeping the official ISO evaluation separate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Station Boss ISO Audit module available now?
No. The dedicated ISO Audit workspace is in development. Contact Station Boss for current availability and a walkthrough of the planned workflow.
Does Station Boss calculate an official ISO or PPC score?
No. Only Verisk determines the official Public Protection Classification. Any Station Boss readiness estimate is for internal preparation and is not an official score.
What information can a fire department prepare for an ISO review?
Departments commonly organize training, apparatus and equipment testing, incident response, emergency communications, water supply, and community risk reduction records. The exact records to provide should follow the current request from Verisk.
Can existing Station Boss records support ISO preparation?
Station Boss already manages several relevant record types, including training, apparatus, incidents, and hydrants. The dedicated audit workspace is being developed to organize those records for review.
