This knowledge base article will walk you through setting up an access control template and assigning a user to it.
Creating an Access Control Template
1. Go to Data Settings >> Access Control Templates or CLICK HERE to be taken to the Access Control Template module.
2. Select the "Create Access Control Template" button at the top right.
3. Give it a name and description (description is optional).
4. Click the "Permissions" tab.
5. From here you can select the permission levels you wish to give to users assigned to this access control template. Below is a description of each type.
Full Access - Can Create, Read, Delete & QA Read Only - Can view all records within that module but can't edit, delete, or create any records. No Access - This will prevent users from accessing this module and its records altogether. This includes reading. In fact, if set to No access then this module will not even appear within the menu bar.
6. Click Save.
Assigning an Access Control Template
1. Go to a personnel record and open.
2. Select the "Access Control" tab.
3. Find the "Assigned Permissions" search field and select an access control template record.
4. Save.
***Important: The user may need to refresh the page to receive the latest updates.
